Hola amigos and vecinos of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle!
I am Caralynn Ramirez and I make hand stamped pet identification tags and provide collars to dogs who need them in town. This is a free service I am providing to Mexican Citizens in La Cruz. Custom orders which include a phone number for visitors and non-citizens can also be made, and I request a $180 peso donation which helps me to purchase collars for dogs who do not have one and keep this passion project sustainable. My goal is to help as many dogs in our community as possible stay safe and be reunited with their families when they wander a bit further than normal from their casa!

Process
Each tag I make is hand stamped and custom.
Hand stamping is a very cost effective way to improve the access to identification tags. My time is donated, so the only costs are supplies.
Dogs
I have grown to love the dogs of La Cruz. Many look "homeless" through the eyes of visitors, but when you pay attention you start to learn who their people are, where their casa is, and what their names are. The dogs live a life with much more freedom. It is different, but not necessarily better or worse. I hope more owners having access to collars and tags will make the lives of all dogs in town safer. Collars and tags will increase the likelihood of reunions which will reduce the amount of dogs needing to find new homes and also make it easier to identify dogs who are in fact homeless and need the resources of our local shelters and independent rescuers the most!
